The American Gas Association represents companies delivering natural gas to customers to help meet their energy needs. AGA members are committed to delivering natural gas safely, reliably, cost-effectively and in an environmentally responsible way.

Alberta Environment Sustainable Resource Development is a partner in protecting and enhancing Alberta's natural environment, to ensure the continued enjoyment of a clean and healthy environment by all.

Measurement Canada is responsible for ensuring that businesses and consumers receive fair and accurate measure in financial transactions involving goods and services. The agency develops and administers the laws and requirements governing measurement; evaluates, approves and certifies measuring devices; and investigates complaints of suspected inaccurate measurement.

The American Petroleum Institute (API) is the only national trade association that represents all aspects of America’s oil and natural gas industry.

The Canadian Gas Association (CGA) is the voice of Canada’s natural gas distribution industry. Our members are distribution companies, transmission companies, equipment manufacturers and other service providers. Today, natural gas meets 30% of Canada’s energy needs and Canadian natural gas distribution companies serve approximately 6.4 million customers – over half of all Canadians in their homes and at work.

The International Society of Automation (ISA) is a leading, global, nonprofit organization that is setting the standard for automation by helping over 30,000 worldwide members and other professionals solve difficult technical problems, while enhancing their leadership and personal career capabilities. .

The Canadian School of Hydrocarbon Measurement , the sponsoring associations, and the operating and manufacturing companies within the petroleum and natural gas industry, provide instruction on technical subjects for people in the industry. In this way, proper facility design, installation, operation and maintenance of measurement and regulation equipment, and the handling of natural gas is presented and studied.
